Moving on (wed 8th - sat 11th)
- We left a bunch of weed in Albuquerque. God Damnit. Jamie left it in the bible drawer at the Best Western. What a waste! At least the next border patrol we pass through won’t give us 10 years.
- I love Best Westerns. I’m in the process of getting us sponsored.
- El Paso was our first show with a “crowd”. Despite all the warnings about how awful the place was, it was amazingly friendly. Just about everyone at the venue invited us to stay at their place, and we figured since we were only a few minutes from the murder capital of the world, El Juarez, we would trust everyone we met. So we stayed with some guy named Jacob.
- Next night was Marfa. A strange ghost town with a supposedly great museum, which we missed, and some good pizza. Ray’s bar, where we played, didn’t even have a P.A., but David Byrne, and Lyle Lovett have performed there.
- We saw a ton of UFO’s in Marfa. Marfa’s best known daily UFO sighting, “The Marfa Lights” abducted us, twice. What a rip off. Honestly the moon was way more impressive. Besides, I’ve seen way cooler UFO’s.
